Armin left. Then he came back and started buying.
He spent thirty-six years opening hotels around the world for Marriott while his own country was written off. In 2014 he came home with $8 million and a view that everyone else thought was wrong: that this coast would be worth something.
He was right, and the family followed. Brianna moved from Florida in 2022. James married in and brought the investors. Between us we have built and run three hotels on this stretch of sand, managed over a thousand homes on the US side, and learned the parts of a Salvadoran land purchase that catch foreigners out.
We are not brokers. We buy alongside you, we hold what we build, and we live thirty minutes from every plot on this website.

Brianna Alfaro de Layfield

Armin's daughter. She moved from Florida to El Salvador in 2022 after managing medical spa clinics across the state and directing marketing for a national brand. She leads design and branding across the family's projects — everything you're looking at is hers.
James Layfield
London · Miami
Founder of Central Working, which rebuilt what a shared workspace could be, and The Lounge Group, which did the same for airport lounges. He handles the fund, the investors, and the part of the job that happens outside El Salvador.
